Liquid funds invest in very short-term money market instruments (up to 91 days), prioritising safety and easy access over growth. They're designed to hold cash productively, not to build long-term wealth.

Who It's Genuinely Suited For

An emergency fund that still needs to stay easily accessible
Parking a lump sum temporarily before deploying it elsewhere (e.g. via an STP into equity)
Business or personal cash you might need within days, not years

What To Actually Expect

Returns are modest — closer to a bit above a savings account than to equity-level growth
Redemptions are typically processed same-day or next business day, far faster than most other fund categories
Not meant to be a growth engine — that's not a flaw, it's the entire point of this category
